Acquia DAM Quickstart
The Acquia DAM integration for Hootsuite allows you to select media you have stored in Acquia and share it to your social networks with Hootsuite.
Getting Started
The Acquia DAM integration is available in two separate locations in Hootsuite:
- Content library
- Media library
Content Library Integration
To access the Content Library integration, first click the Plan option found in the left side menu:
Next, select the Content option at the top of the dashboard:
If you only have one or two Content Library apps installed, you will see Acquia DAM in the list of apps. If you do not see the app, you may have to click the More apps button to find it.
The first time you access the integration, you will be prompted to authenticate with Hootsuite:
After you have authenticated with Hootsuite, you will then be asked to enter your Acquia DAM site name:
Clicking the Submit button will take you to your Acquia DAM site where you can authorize access for the integration. Once you have authorized, you will be presented with the files/folders in your DAM:
Clicking folders will display images and videos in that folder:
Clicking will open the Hootsuite publisher and attach the selected file. Clicking
will down the file to your computer. Clicking
will open a panel on the right side of your dashboard where additional information for the file will be displayed:
Selecting Multiple Files to Share
To select multiple files, hover over the file you want to share, and then click the box in the upper right corner of each file you want to share:
Once you have selected all of the files you want to share, click the Share selected button in the top right of the dashboard:
This will open the Hootsuite publisher with the selected files attached.
Navigation
To navigate to parent folders, click a folder name in the navigation list in the top left:
File Searching
To search for files, enter text in the search box in the top right of the dashboard:
File Sorting
To sort the files return, select an option from the sort menu in the top left of the dashboard:
App Settings
To view app related links or disconnect the authorizations, click the settings icon in the top left of the dashboard:
This will display the settings popup:
Media Library Integration
The Acquia DAM Media Library integration is accessible in the Hootsuite publisher:
Selecting Media library will display the list of Media library apps you have installed:
If it's your first time using the integration, you will be prompted to enter your site name:
After you click the Submit button, you will be taken to your DAM where you can authorize access for the app. With the authorization finished, your files/folders will be displayed:
Clicking a folder will display it's contents. Clicking a file will attach it to the current message you are creating/editing.
