Cloudinary Quickstart

With the Cloudinary integration for Hootsuite, you can easily share images and videos stored in Cloudinary to your social networks with Hootsuite.

Getting Started

When you first add the app, Cloudinary will be added as a Content Source. To access it, click Create in the menu on the left side of your Hootsuite dashboard. Next, select Content library from the menu which has been displayed:

Finally, click Cloudinary in the list of Content Sources:

Now, the Cloudinary integration will be displayed, and you will be prompted to authenticate with Hootsuite:

Clicking the Login with Hootsuite button above will display a popup where you can authenticate on Hootsuite:

After authenticating with Hootsuite, you will be prompted to enter your Cloud's name and an API key:

Finding your Cloud name and API key

To find your cloud name (product environment) and API key, first login to Cloudinary. Once you've logged in, click the settings icon found in the bottom left corner of your Cloudinary dashboard. At this point, if you have more than one product environment, select the environment you would like to use with Hootsuite:

After selecting the environment, click the API keys option:

This will display your cloud's name and any API keys associated with it:

After you have entered your cloud's name and an API key, the Cloudinary widget will be displayed:

NOTE: The first time you access the Cloudinary widget via the app, you may be prompted to sign in with Cloudinary. If you allow 3rd party cookies from hootsuite.com, you will only be prompted to do this once. If you do not enable 3rd party cookies, you will be prompted to sign in every time you open the widget.

Sharing Files

Selecting one or more files will display an Open in Composer button:

Clicking Open in Composer will open the Hootsuite publisher with the file(s) you selected attached:

Supported Formats

When sharing with Hootsuite, the following file formats are currently supported:

Images: GIF, JPEG, PNG

VIDEO: MP4

There is also a maximum size of 5 MB for images, and 500 MB for videos.
